MPO Patch Cord Polarity

The MPO 8-fiber Type C male connector is a high-density fiber optic connector designed for structured cabling and parallel optical transmission systems. It follows the Type C polarity standard, which uses a pairwise crossover mapping to ensure proper transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) signal alignment between connected devices.

In a Type C configuration, adjacent fibers are swapped in pairs For example:

  • Fiber 1 ↔ Fiber 2
  • Fiber 2 ↔ Fiber 1
  • Fiber 3 ↔ Fiber 4
  • Fiber 4 ↔ Fiber 3
